Primary purpose and function of position:

Verify, track & maintain all inventory levels within the warehouse. Support all delivery and warehouse functions as directed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end physical inventory count and reconcile to computer inventory
  • Conduct month end inventory counts on all cooperage, pallets...etc.
  • Assist with Year-end physical inventory count and reconcile to computer inventory
  • Perform daily cycle counts of warehouse inventory, including draught, package & NA as required
  • Direct warehouse floor inventory for incoming loads
  • Coordinate all cooperage and pallet returns for all suppliers
  • Key in bill of ladings and trade returns as required
  • Monitor day warehousemen performance and productivity
  • Responsible for adherence to proper product rotation in warehouse
  • Order, track & record all breakage and order necessary repack materials
  • Oversee repack employees production and productivity
  • Maintain and oversee property security while on duty
  • Take weekly package and draft coded inventories
  • Daily update of warehouse Freshness Alert
  • Primary back up to the Customer Service Representative Operations IL
  • Primary back up to the Operations Coordinator Routing IL
  • Check-in trucks daily
  • Handle customer service calls and dock pick-ups to resolution
  • Ensure all safety processes and procedures are being followed and enforced
  • Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policiesOther duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • Wholesaler experience preferred
  • Must meet state age requirements
  • Knowledge of the VIP Route Accounting System a plus
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
  • Valid driver license and safe driving record
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong internal and external customer orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to safely operate job related equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push or pull package product weighing 50 plus pounds and draught product weighing 165 plus pounds
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal liquor laws is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed; flexibility to stay later during peak periods. Normal shift is Tuesday through Saturday, however, other overtime coverage is necessary as required
  • Ability to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
